What it is
NotQuiet turns the TVs a venue already has into its own channel: events, menus, offers, opening hours and local match days, all in the venue’s logo, colours and photos. Staff message the screens the way they would text a colleague, and it is on every TV within a minute, with a confirmation back.
NotStrangers is the members’ half. Regulars scan the code on the TV, join with a name and an email, and carry the venue’s own card in their phone’s wallet. Staff approve them with one tap, a university can be authorised once so its students go straight in, and a scan shows green when a card is active.
Why we built it
Most nights are not quiet because nothing is on. They are quiet because nobody knew. The best seat in the house shows nothing between matches, the events go on Instagram where the people already in the room never see them, and the regulars are a stamp card in a drawer.
Independent venues already have the room, the TVs and the regulars. NotQuiet joins them up, and the member list stays the venue’s own.
What we are proud of
- i.
Text it. It’s on the telly.
“quiz night thursday 8pm, £2 a team” becomes a listing on every screen, with a confirmation back. If the message is vague, it asks one question.
- ii.
Every venue in its own colours
A pub, a pizza takeaway, a barbers and a café run on the same product, each wearing its own brand.
- iii.
A card that meets you at the door
The members’ card lives in Apple Wallet and pops up on the lock screen when a member walks in.
How it is made
